Brides of North Texas Behind The Scenes

The Brides of North Texas Magazine launch party was last week, and is was nothing short of fantastic! The ladies over at the magazine did such a great job producing a posh event at the ultra sheik Nylo Hotel in Irving. The Brides of North Texas Magazine hits stores this Friday so definitely check it out.

Until then, here's a few spreads from the Magazine's brides maids dress feature shoot that I was very honored and fortunate to be a part of. It was such a joy to work with models: Morgan Woolard, Elizabeth Proctor, Crystal Frasier; and of course, all the lovely ladies over at Brides of North Texas Magazine: Ashley Bowen Murphy, Kami Huddleston, Meagan Miller, Alli Vaughan. Hair and Make up meticulously styled by Troy Richard Salon. Behind the scenes video by Hakim Sons Films, flowers by Bella Flora.

A very special thank you to the talented Jared Rey and Marium Mohiuddin both for lending a much needed hand and direction here and there while on set.

Brides of North Texas Magazine Cover

The Brides of North Texas Magazine is the new kid in town! Just yesterday the magazine published a preview of their cover for their inaugural issue that is slated to hit the stores early February.

It's an honor to have one of my images selected to be on the cover of their first issue in North Texas. The cover image is a bridal portrait of Keller resident Amy Hollas-Tissue photographed at her wedding location Astin Mansion in Bryan, TX. This is image if one of the last images photographed during Amy's bridal session. Take a look at a few more images from her session.

Quite a bit of work has gone in to this issue! Kudos to everyone over at the magazine. I'm excited to see how the rest of the magazine turned out.

The magazine will offer brides a resource for the hottest trends and the best vendors in the industry. Along with tips, color pallets, and sections devoted to weddings of the seasons.

Here's a preview from this past weekend - an engagement session in Fort Worth in and around the Fort Worth Stock Yards for Lindsey and Blake. Their wedding will be held at the McKinney Cotton Mill in the Summer. I'm excited and can't wait to have them tie the knot. Hmmm... this one looks familiar. More to come soon of course! Tiffany and Justin tied the knot in Houston last month. Their ceremony was at the lovely Lakewood United Methodist Church and their reception at the Northgate Country Club. Jacqueline Hughes of North West Houston Weddings kept things running smoothly.

Kinsey and Kevin chose the Texas State Fair as their location for their engagement shoot this past month. Of course it's perfect for getting great, fun shots, but it was also where they had their first date. Luckily we went early - right as the doors opened, or it would have been impossible with the droves of people that showed up as we were leaving.

I wanted to do some shots in the Farris Wheel cab, but had no luck convincing Kevin and his slight fear of heights. Good thing because I heard nothing but terror stories from people who went that windy day who took a chance on the ride. You lucked out Kevin!

Over the past year and a half, I've had the opportunity of working along side Rachel Phillips over at Rachel Events, and what a joy it has been for every event. Tiffany was quite the bride-model during her portrait session in Dallas about a month ago. Her dance training definitely came in handy with #2 and #6, and she was a natural when going into a pose as well.

Their wedding was a fabulous event in Houston at Lakewood United Methodist and their reception at Northgate Country Club. More from their wedding coming soon.

Amy and Cam said their I do's at the amazing St. Anthony Catholic Church in Bryan, TX in September, and danced the night away at the always lovely Astin Mansion where I also photographed Amy's Bridals. I loved the groom's cake styled after the Operation Game made just for the soon to be doctor. A HUGE thanks to Gabe Chmielewski for helping me rock one.

It was such a joy to be a part of Amy+Cams very fun day. They couldn't be more perfect for each other. Congrats guys!

Lately it seems like it's been the season of bridals for me. Which means a VERY busy fall. Tough for blogging, since I can't show them off until after the wedding, but great for picture taking. I love bridals. Yes, it's a southern thing I guess, but truly a fun way for the bride to have another day in her dress as a dress rehearsal and a very fun sort of fashion shoot.

Amy is an amazing girl. Very pretty, and a natural. We photographed her bridals at Astin Mansion in Bryan, TX; a very lovely venue which is where her reception was held. Their wedding pics are coming soon (preview above).
